Generally speaking, our online shop has needles in the strengths from 60 to 110. We deliver these well packaged, mainly as practical sets. If a needle breaks while you are sewing, simply replace it and you can carry on with your project right away.

Depending on the fabric, you will find high-quality needles for light, medium or heavy fabrics. In general, the following applies: the finer the fabric, the thinner the needle should be. It’s definitely worthwhile to have universal needles handy in various sizes. Then you can sew almost all natural and synthetic fabrics without difficulty.

If the material is stretchy, you should use a super stretch needle HAx1SP. This has a spherical tip. This allows the needle to move the fabric fibres aside, rather than piercing though them. This is guaranteed to prevent holes.

If the fabric is very fine, you should use a micro needle or a silk crepe needle HAx1GT. The especially fine tip gives you a tidy sewing result. On the other hand, denim needs a strong needle, so you should pick a denim needle. If you decide to sew leather or artificial leather, you should definitely use a leather needle. This is more akin to a small knife and can therefore cope with the material. Needles have also been developed to give you perfect sewing results for quilting and embroidery. And if you would like elastic stitches or a hem seam for elasticated clothing, the twin needle will do magnificent work
